Are you ready to be blown away?
#1 How much does it cost to be a consultant with Beautycounter?
It costs $50 (CDN/US) to enroll as a consultant, and $21 if you’re upgrading from Member to Consultant status. Your digital enrolment includes virtual training and marketing assets PLUS your own website, as well as ongoing support.
Starter sets are NOT REQUIRED but highly recommended to start a successful business. If you were going to open a restaurant, you would buy food. If you are starting a clean beauty business, you should buy product.
#2 Do you have to purchase products every month?
There are NO monthly requirements to purchase from Beautycounter when you are a consultant. You have the opportunity to purchase at 25% always, and 35-40% off during enrollment or presales. You are NEVER forced to purchase anything, and your commission is never withheld if you do not make personal purchases.
#3 How much do you have to sell?
To keep your consultant status, you need to purchase and/or sell $1200 USD within 6 months. If you buy it all yourself, you don’t have to sell a thing. If you sell it all, you don’t have to purchase. Most consultants meet this requirement without any stress with a combination of personal purchases plus friends and family supporting their business and the clean beauty movement. #winwin
#4 Can you actually make money?
Your commission starts at 25% for every sale, and you can earn up to 35% based on your personal sales volume each month. If you build a team, you earn a small percentage based on their monthly sales to compensate you for the support that you provide as a mentor and coach. This percentage increases as your sales volume increases. The short answer is, YES.
#5 Do you have to ask people to join you?
You are NOT required to recruit or to build a team. You never have to ask anyone to join you, if you don’t want to. If you decide that you do, then you will have support in doing so and in building your business.
#6 Will your friends think that you are “that person”?
Maybe. Initially your friends or family will likely make fun of you and call you “The Modern Day Avon Lady”. It may be hard at first, but trust me on this – if you believe in what you are doing, if you educate them on the importance of safe ingredients, and you stick with it, the jokes quickly vanish, and the jokesters become your loyal supporters. You WILL feel good about ensuring that your loved ones are armed with information to become educated consumers, and you will LOVE knowing that the products that they are using are high-performing, beautiful AND SAFE.
#7 Is it one of those “pyramid things”?
Let me borrow some words from my favourite book about network marketing, The Flip Flop CEO, to clearly explain this myth:
“Most people think that a pyramid scheme is an organization where one person (or a few) sits at the top making all the money, while the masses at the bottom do all the work, right? Wrong. That’s not a pyramid scheme. That’s the company you work for. And that’s perfectly legal. Think about it: how many employees make more than their manager or CEO?
Legitimate network marketing companies don’t look anything like that. In a network marketing company, all people start at the exact same place, but excel at different rates. Anyone can make it to the top. For some people, it takes months to get there, for others, it takes years. Some never do. Either way, it has nothing to do with when you signed up or who referred you. Many of the top earners of network marketing companies are people who got in decades after the company was established, and long after the first person to sign up. More importantly, many are earning far more than the person who referred them”.
